History of Community National Bank

Twenty years ago, in a portable modular office building off Florida Street in South Midland, a new banking concept opened to meet the needs of the underserved in the community - Community National Bank.

In a time when farmers and ranchers were not of interest to most banks, CNB welcomed them into an organization that valued their business.  In a time when banks were under extraordinary pressure to grow at all costs, CNB built relationships - one account at a time.  In a time when financial institutions seemed only interested in business models and formulas, CNB concentrated on employees that delivered a higher standard of service.  In a time when bank customers saw their business decisions dictated by policies and people with no respect for the Permian Basin, CNB chose to bring those decisions back to West Texas and back into our community.

Today, Community National Bank's original concept has enabled us to grow into one of the Permian Basin's largest and most respected banking organizations.  Today we are a blend of new ideas, new products and services, plus new opportunities to serve our customers.  Just like twenty years ago, CNB is building our Community - one relationship at a time.  Today we still consider our mission to serve the underserved in our community.  Our growth seems to indicate that our many new customers - both individual and corporate - are not underserved at Community National Bank.

On behalf of the Mortgage Department of Community National Bank, we welcome you into - Our Community of the Future.
